As a mum to two gorgeous little boys of my own, I understand that getting children to "behave" for photos can be a challenge, and it might seem like a daunting task. However, I believe that a family photoshoot is an opportunity to capture your children’s true personalities in a fun, playful, and natural way. My style is very relaxed and I like to spend time getting to know the family before I get the camera out. Building up a rapport with the children ensures we capture genuine smiles and create happy memories.
Family photography is something I have a real passion for. I’ve been capturing my own personal family portraits and candid moments long before I started doing this professionally and it is just a genre that you can never be tired of. I would describe my style as ‘story-telling’ as I blend a documentary lifestyle approach with some gently posed portraits. I believe this provides you with a gallery of images that gives you the best of both worlds.
My approach is to make your session as enjoyable as possible, combining gently directed poses with plenty of candid moments. This ensures that everyone, from toddlers to teens, is comfortable and having fun, creating beautiful memories you’ll treasure forever.

Which session is right for you?
As well as colourful, outdoor family photography around Derbyshire and further afield across the East Midlands, I also provide lifestyle photography in the home. This is perfect for those who want to tell their story through images from the comfort of their own home, surrounded by their memories and favourite things. Depending on the ages of your children and your particular tastes, different sessions will work better for different families. I also periodically offer Limited Edition Photo Sessions throughout the year.
You and your children can pick a special spot around Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire or Staffordshire —perhaps somewhere that holds a personal meaning, where they can truly be themselves. Popular options often include parks, local woodlands, or a favourite field walk. I’m also happy to recommend locations based on the time of year and your children’s ages.
During the session, I take a gentle approach, letting the children set the pace. If they want to explore, I’m right there with them. If they’d rather stop and admire a puddle, that’s perfectly fine! Each child is unique, and there’s no rush—this is their time to enjoy.

In the comfort of your own surroundings, I will come to you and document memories in the place your children feel most content. These lifestyle photoshoots allow us to not only capture authentic, natural moments with you and your little ones, but they allow us to document a snapshot of the bigger picture; your house, decor, the nursery. These are all things that will be remembered fondly for years to come.
As well as small babies, these shoots work perfectly for older children as they go about their lives at home. Reading stories in their bedroom, tea parties in the garden, making dens, baking, playing with Lego. The memories will be treasured for a lifetime.
A family session lasting around 2 hours
A family photo session at your choice of outdoor location around Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire (or beyond in the East Midlands) or in your home.
Editing
The editing of at least 75 images.

Your gallery can be viewed online via a 48-hour slideshow, or in person for a more tailored experience. The in-person viewing is ideal for those looking to create beautiful wall art, with a selection of fine art products available to explore.
Album & Fine Art Design
Your photographs deserve to be showcased in the most beautiful way. I offer custom-designed albums and fine art prints that are created to preserve your memories for a lifetime. Every album is tailored to your style, with careful attention to detail, while fine art prints bring your images to life with exceptional quality and timeless elegance.
Delivery
I will then take the hassle away and get your photographs and products ordered and delivered to your door ready to display!

Pricing
Step 1 - Session Fee
My photoshoot sessions are £95 which is taken upon booking and secures your date(s) in my diary. This fee covers my time on the photo shoot, pre-consultation to discuss location and outfit choices, as well as providing insight as to what images you particularly want me to capture, professional editing of your images and preparation of your online gallery and slideshow.
Step 2 - Collections
Collections are paid for on the day of your photo session with the option to upgrade to a higher package if you wish, after seeing your full gallery. Please note that session fees are not deducted from the collection price.
